Jimmy "Chief" Duran and Dizzy Lizard are currently looking for an investor, or an investment group to act in the capacity of Executive Producer, for future CD releases by Smooth Jazz artist Jimmy Duran.
Jimmy Duran is founder, and creator of Dizzy Lizard, and is the primary songwriter for the smooth jazz/contmeporary jazz group "Dizzy Lizard"
NOTE: Smooth Jazz today is called contemporary jazz, or C-Jazz on Sirius and XM radio.
In the music industry, the executive producer of an album is often in control of the business side of production, distribution, and promotion. This role can entail financing, obtaining financing, allocating the budget, etc. At times, the executive producer may also provide artistic input such as which songs are placed in the final cut and the order in which the songs are placed. In this instance, the executive producer is usually someone who has had input in producing some of the tracks on the album. A particular executive producer's name attached to an album is sometimes used as a selling point to distributors.
In some instances, an executive producer can be a person who "discovered" a particular act, or someone who represents an act, either as an agent or an attorney.
Dizzy Lizard's initial offering was a CD entitled "Dreams Do Come True"
The CD was self-produced with very little distribution and promotion.
This CD consists of 9 original compositions written by Jimmy Duran.
Jimmy Duran has created, and keeps adding to, a Dizzy Lizard song book
which contains over 150 songs, ready and available to be produced as future
CD releases for Dizzy Lizard.
